     WHAT”S NEW IN ALLE-KISKI TODAY

     One Person Making A Difference
     http://www.alle-kiskitoday.com/articles/1760

Many of us at some point in time have seen a need in our
community or felt compassion towards the plight of another. We
have been moved in our hearts but somehow that concern didn't
translate to taking an active part in its resolution. "What
can one person do? How can I make a difference?" Those
thoughts often leave us in a place of hopelessness that breeds
inactivity. Throughout my interviewing experiences I have been
fortunate to talk to so many people who have decided to look
past the extent of the job and have focused on the end
product. One of these individuals, Jim Granville of Lower
Burrell, has proven that with passion many things are
     possible.

When man first came to the Kiski Valley, it is likely that he
followed animal trails that in turn became paths for
navigating this part of Western PA. Two major trails developed
in our area and were used by Indians and European traders and
colonists alike: the Loyalhanna Path and the Kiskiminetas
Path. Read more interesting history at Our Local Heritage at
