OUR LOCAL HERITAGE
http://www.alle-kiskitoday.com/weather
Could've Been Walkerburg: John Vanderen and John Walker owned
this land first in 1773. But Walker never laid claim, so in
1783, an Indian Chief named White Mattock was granted 192
acres next to Vanderen's. Today, most of the village that
grew up there--once called 'Friendship but now known as
Leechburg--consists of Mattock's grant; Vanderen's acreage
makes up the rest. Residents could have been living in New
Mattockton or Vanderentum

COOL SITES FOR TODAY
IRS: Free Online Filing
http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html
Whoever said there is no such thing as a free lunch may have
been right. But for millions of eligible taxpayers this year,
there is Free File. Free File is online tax preparation and
electronic filing through a partnership agreement between the
IRS and the Free File Alliance, LLC. In other words, you can
e-file... free.
Internet Fraud Complaint Center
http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp
The Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) is a partnership
between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National
White Collar Crime Center. IFCC's mission is to address fraud
committed over the Internet. For victims of Internet fraud,
IFCC provides a convenient and easy-to-use reporting
mechanism that alerts authorities of a suspected criminal or
civil violation. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies
at all levels, IFCC offers a central repository for
complaints related to Internet fraud, works to quantify fraud
patterns, and provides timely statistical data of current
fraud trends.
DAVE BRUBECK
http://brubeck.info/
Dave Brubeck is one of the most well known jazz pianists of
all time. The classic Dave Brubeck Quartet featuring Paul
Desmond's liquid saxophone lasted for 17 years, during which
time they produced the first ever million-selling jazz tune
(Take Five), toured the world many times, and introduced
enormous numbers of people to the jazz sound. But Brubeck is
not one to get stuck in a rut, and since the original quartet
disbanded over thirty-five years ago, he has continued to
develop as a musician, exploring new avenues in composition
and performance. He is still touring, and still releasing
albums, at the age of 83. See also: REDISCOVERING DAVE
BRUBECK at http://www.pbs.org/brubeck/
