     The Highlands School District made an incredible change within
     its  borders last year by hiring four new principals  for  its
     elementary  schools. Christine Ross of Heights  Elementary  is

     The  Milligan  Legacy: In 1802, Sam and Mary  Milligan  began
     farming  their 245 acres near the Little Puckety Creek.  Over
     time   as  many  families  settled  around  them,  a  village
     sprouted.  By  the 1880s, Milligantown became  the  "cultural
     center"  of Upper Burrell with a church, a school, businesses
     and  later, its own telephone exchange. Read more interesting

     The Continental Singers in Concert
     The  Continental  Singers, an internationally known  Christian
     singing group, will be performing a free concert at the  First
     United  Methodist Church of Vandergrift on Thursday, March  11
     at  7:00PM. The theme for their concert is: Airborne: Reaching
     For   A   Higher  Purpose.  Their  concert  will  consist   of
     contemporary  music blended with traditional  favorites  along
     with choreography. The Continentals range in age from 16 to 28
     years old. CD's, tapes and other Continental materials will be

     Attracting Hummingbirds and Butterflies
     Saltsburg  Free Library will host a workshop about  attracting
     hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden. One session  will
     be held at the library on Salt Street in Saltsburg on March 13
     at  3  p.m.  There will be slides, photographs, and  handouts.

     Ballet Theatre Season Set to Dazzle
     The  Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre season gets off to a  beautiful
     beginning  with “Giselle” at Benedum Center from March  11  to
     14.   “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” follows from April 15 to 18,
     and  then get ready for the blockbuster ballet “Springsteen  &
     Seeger”   from   April  29  to  May  2.   For  tickets,   call
