     CROOKED  POSSE:  If you lived out Dime Road  or  near  Crooked
     Creek  in  the  early  1800's, with no police  squad  or  army
     available,  your keepers of law and order may  have  been  the
     Crooked Creek Rangers. A group of 50-60 men with ties  to  the
     Revolutionary War, they formed a small militia that served the

     Oldies Dance
     Apollo Hose Co # 2 (Downtown) is sponsoring an Oldies Dance on
     Saturday March 6th from 8:00 to Midnight. DJ's will be  Tom  &
     Bruce.  Price  is $7.00 per person. Snacks, Beer,  Sandwiches,
     B.Y.O.B.  Must Show proper I.D. at the door. Tickets available

     Attracting Hummingbirds and Butterflies
     Saltsburg  Free Library will host a workshop about  attracting
     hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden. Two sessions will
     be held at the library on Salt Street in Saltsburg: March 8 at
     7  p.m.  and March 13 at 3 p.m. The workshops are the same  at
     both   meetings.  There  will  be  slides,  photographs,   and
     handouts.  There  is  no  fee  for  this  workshop.  For  more
