     STILL  STANDING:  In 1794 several families  met  to  worship.
     Ministers sometimes journeyed to their frontier meetings,  in
     spite  of hostile Indians and rough untamed terrain. In time,
     Rev.  James McConnell became their first regular pastor,  and
     in  1811 they built a log church along Puckety Creek. Despite
     many  burnings, the church has been rebuilt and still remains
     today as Puckety United Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell.
