     Methodism  reached the lower Kiski valley 1822 with  the  Rev.
     Thomas M. Hudson being appointed to the Mahoning Circuit.  The
     Circuit  was  over 300 miles around with 14 preaching  points.
     Meeting  in  homes,  92  members were  served.  The  Methodist
     Society  in  Apollo was erected in 1838. Read more interesting

     The Continental Singers in Concert
     The  Continental  Singers, an internationally known  Christian
     singing group, will be performing a free concert at the  First
     United  Methodist Church of Vandergrift on Thursday, March  11
     at  7:00PM. The theme for their concert is: Airborne: Reaching
     For   A   Higher  Purpose.  Their  concert  will  consist   of
     contemporary  music blended with traditional  favorites  along
     with choreography. The Continentals range in age from 16 to 28
