     GLORIA’S KITCHEN
Casseroles are one of my favorite meals to fix. They are
usually done in one dish that can be brought straight to the
table – for good taste and less clean up. To see the latest

Mr. Levi Stitt(an early settler in Parks Township) and his
brother John Franz Stitt built and operated a famous flour mill
on Carnahan’s Run (Stitt’s Run) called Stitt’s Mill. When a
person wanted to compare the quality of something, a common
expression for 75 years was, “As good as wheat in Stitt’s Mill”.
The expression has been used across the country wherever
     Armstrong County People located.

     VANDERGRIFT CAR FIRE
At around 6:15 on March 7, a car located at 127 Sherman Avenue
caught fire. Witnesses stated that the owner of the vehicle
had just parked the car and entered the house when the engine
burst into flames. Vandergrift and East Vandergrift Fire
Departments were called to the scene and quickly got the blaze
under control. Fortunately, no one was hurt. To see the
