     Remains of the Day
     
     You  can see evidence of the Pennsylvania Canal by hiking one and
     a half miles up the Roaring Run trail out of Apollo.  Just before
     you  reach Roaring Run, the trail passes the remains of  Lock  15
     and some stonework.  Another dam created slack water upriver from
     this  point.   At  Lock 15 the canal boats  left  the  river  and
     entered  the canal and traveled three miles through Apollo  along
     Warren  Avenue  and Astronaut Way to reenter  the  river  in  the
     Pegtown area.
