     IGNORE A HOAX EMAIL
Sometimes you can get a virus warning from a well-meaning
email friend that can waste your time and get you to do things
that will damage your computer. There's a sudden revival of
one particular hoax: One of these hoax emails talks about an
     'infected' file on your computer named S U L F N B K . E X E
that you should delete. Not true. The file named is a part of
Windows as supplied by Microsoft. It's not essential to
running Windows but there's no reason to delete it either. The
hoax email is designed to con you into deleting the file and
causing trouble on your computer later on. If you receive such
a message, ignore it, delete it and certainly don't pass it
on. You might want to warn the sender that they are passing
along a dangerous hoax and not helping anyone. For more
details including the full message that's usually passed along
     go to this site:

     EXCITE SEARCH ENGINE MAKES CHANGES

Excite has finished making changes to its search interface,
mostly minor alterations that that service hopes will
improve usability. Here's what you will find that's
     different:
+ More emphasis on the "Zoom In" search refinement
            tool.
+ Results are now numbered, to help those who wish to
remember their place when returning to the search
           results page.
+ Search page numbers are now at the bottom of the
screen, allowing you to jump directly to the second,
third or tenth page of results, should you desire.
+ Site listings now put more of an emphasis on title
            and summary.
+ Page clustering is now automatically performed, so
that only one top page per web site is displayed.

CYBERFAITH: HOW AMERICANS PURSUE RELIGION ONLINE
     by Elena Larsen
Pew Internet & American Life Project

28 million Americans have used the Internet to get religious
and spiritual information and connect with others on their
faith journeys. We call them "Religion Surfers." For
comparison’s sake, it is interesting to note that more
people have gotten religious or spiritual information online
than have gambled online, used Web auction sites, traded
stocks online, placed phone calls on the Internet, done
online banking, or used Internet-based dating services. The
September 11 terror attacks compelled millions of Internet
users to turn to religious issues and concerns online.
