     HYDE PARK MUSEUM
     Unknown to most people is the fact that Hyde Park has a Museum
     Historical  room.  The museum is in the  old  Bethel  Lutheran
     Church located at the corner of Main & Center Streets in  Hyde
     Park.

     The Naming of the Kiskiminetas River
     
     It  was those early Indian settlers who gave birth to the name of
     the  river, “Kee-akkshee-man-nit-toos”.  The exact interpretation
     of  the  name  seems lost with the ages but “Cut  Spirit”,  “Make
     daylight”(the inpatient cry of a warrior eager to  take  the  war
     path) and “plenty of walnuts” have been suggested.
