A new class connecting people to work, assisting in preparing for high skill and high wage jobs and offering occupational training programs will start October 14 at Armstrong Educational Trust according to their September newsletter.

Called New Choices/New Options Career Services, the program is free for those seeking career change, single parents, displaced homemakers, unemployed or underemployed, low income individuals and those exploring non-traditional technologies or trades. Postsecondary students are also welcome.

Some of the program services offered include the following:

• Job Search Skills;

• Career Assessments;

• Personal Development;

• Basic Computer Instruction;

• Communication Skills;

There is tuition assistance for vocational programs. Transportation and child care assistance is offered.
